It Really is the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Merry Christmas Eve! Today is one my favourite days of the whole year! And my inner-self is Buddy-the-Elfing HARD but my outer-self is tired as! I guess I was too excited to sleep.
I know I said I was going to be a more frequent Blogger, but Christmas caught up to me. Hard. I've been so busy tidying, wrapping, crafting, churching, bon firing, napping, Christmas-light-looking, puzzle building, gingerbread house building, Starbucksing, avoiding snow driving, and visiting. I cannot even with how much I've loved visiting with family, friends, and friends who've become family. It really is the most wonderful time of the year.
Gifts are accumulating under our Fir-scented-aerosol-spritzed tree, festive candles are burning, Christmas Eve outfits are being chosen and laid out, last minute details are sure to wait to the last minute, and 4 o'clock can't get here fast enough! I am excited to see everyone. So excited that I may or may not have learned how to play Justin Bieber's "Mistletoe" because my cousin asked real nice. And she's cute. I figure if I throw a little Sarah McLachlan or Bing Crosby in, I will redeem whatever it is that I might lose. It really is the most wonderful time of the year.
My Christmas Spotify playlist has been on repeat for all of the days and I am currently wondering how much longer I can get away with listening to it after tomorrow!?
I am also so looking forward to the service tonight. My heart is beating all over the place; she cannot pull herself together. Tonight promises all of the beauty. All of it.

I am praying that everyone has the most restful and joyful Christmas yet. I know that Christmas isn't always easy for everyone and I so want to be respectful of that. If you feel like there is someone missing this Christmas, know that I am missing my someones too. Today and every day. And for that very reason, I am also praying that, this Christmas, you remember these truths...
The world waits for a miracle
The heart longs for a little bit of hope
O come, O come Emmanuel
The child prays for peace on earth
And she's calling out from a sea of hurt
O come, O come Emmanuel
And can you hear the angels singing
Glory to the light of the world
Glory the light of the world is here
The drought breaks With the tears of a mother A babies cry is the sound Of love come down Come down, Emmanuel He is the song for the suffering He is messiah The Prince of Peace has come He has come, Emmanuel Glory to the light of the world Glory to the light of the world
For all who wait For all who hunger For all who've prayed For all who wonder
Behold your King Behold Messiah Emmanuel, Emmanuel
Merry Christmas. Xx
